“2024 Costello Classic” Basketball Games to Benefit the V Foundation.

Join us for an exciting night to support the V Foundation and honor the legacy of ESM alum Larry Costello, who was born and raised in Minoa, and is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

2024 Costello Classic Event Details:
The games will be held on Saturday, December 14th, in the ESM High School Gymnasium, starting at 5:30 PM.

• The first game features a Student vs. Staff matchup at 5:30 PM.
• The second game, showcasing ESM alumni, will tip off at 7:00 PM.

Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door on the night of the event. 

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the V Foundation in memory of Larry Costello. The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano with one goal in mind: to achieve Victory Over Cancer®. Thanks to an endowment funded by generous donors, 100% of direct donations benefit cancer research and programs. This means that not one single cent of your donation goes to operating expenses.
 

Calling All Alumni - How to Join the Game:

Want to play in the 2024 Costello Classic? Here's what you need to do:

1. Complete the Google Alumni Sign-Up Form to register.
2. Spots are limited to the first 30 players, so don’t delay!  RSVP by Sunday, December 1st to ensure you get your preferred shirt size.
3. A $20 minimum donation will be collected on the day of the game to cover the cost of your game shirt and support the V Foundation in memory of Larry Costello.

Great news! The "2024 Costello Classic" is officially registered as a DIY Fundraiser with the V Foundation, and you can find it listed on the V Foundation website under the "Events & Fundraisers" tab. There's an option to make a tax-deductible donation on the 2024 Costello Classic page. You can even dedicate your donation in honor of someone affected by cancer, with all proceeds going directly to the V Foundation to support cancer research. This is a wonderful way to honor loved ones while contributing to a meaningful cause.
