Scholastic Arts Winners 2024

ESM Art students were awarded an outstanding 84 awards at this year’s CNY Scholastic Art and Writing Awards! Olivia LaGrow earned the Onondaga Community College Award for Best Fine Arts Portfolio. Michael Saunders was honored with the Independent Potters' Association of CNY Award for Best work in Ceramics & Glass, Functional Design.
ESM ranked in the top 5 schools in the region. More than 5,000 pieces of artwork are submitted each year in our region, and only 1,500 get into the show. Less than 5% receive Gold Keys. 

Our student artworks were awarded:

• 21 Gold Keys
• 30 Silver Keys
• 31 Honorable Mention 
• 1 Gold Key Portfolio
• 1 Silver Key Portfolio
• 3 Honorable Mention Portfolios

Work is on display through March 1 at the Whitney Building at Onondaga Community College. All Gold Key artwork will go on to compete at the Nationals in New York City in the coming months, with award announcements in April. Winner include:
