Happy fall! The month of September flew by! Students are doing a great job learning the rules and routines. Below you will find information that may be helpful to you and your child throughout the school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by email.

Some things students are working on this month, include:
-reviewing letters and sounds (phonemes)
-breaking words into their different sounds (phonemes)
-reading and spelling words with short a and long a phonemes
-reading and spelling words with short i and long i phonemes
-reading and spelling words with short u and long u phonemes
-writing true stories about themselves, with a beginning, a middle and an end
-writing neatly, and forming letters properly
-investigating air and what it can do
-investigating the weather and how it changes
-observing wind
-describing, identifying, and comparing 2-D shapes
-combining smaller shapes to make larger shapes
Please be sure your child has the following each day:
-snack (please include utensils if they are needed)
-backpack
-sneakers (these are needed for PE and outdoor learning time)
-water bottle (optional)
