Board Policies

It is the responsibility of the Board of Education to develop the policies that govern all aspects of the school district. The East Syracuse Minoa Central School District's Policy Manual (PDF below) has been developed with Erie 1 BOCES Policy Services.

The Policy Manual is a set of broad written guidelines created by the Board of Education. The purpose of policies is to: 1) State a position taken by the District; 2) Grant the authority to act; 3) Give adequate direction; and 4) Provide for impartial procedures. 

Updating the District's policy manual is an ongoing process. Policies and regulations are reviewed, revised and adopted as needed throughout the year.

In addition to the adopted policies, the operation of the School District is governed by and subject to all applicable Laws, Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, Civil Service requirements, Board of Education Resolutions, School Administrative Regulations and Contracts of Agreement.
