Basic Supply List

 

With each and every instrument, purchase of a folding music stand is strongly encouraged.

 

Flute 

  1. A flute in good working order 

  2. A cleaning rod. 

  3. A small, thin piece of cloth for cleaning. (thickness of a t-shirt works very well)

  4. A lesson book - “Sound Innovations for Concert Band”  for flute

 

Oboe

  1. An oboe in good working order

  2. A soft oboe reed

  3. A handkerchief swab

  4. Tube of cork grease

  5. A lesson book - “Sound Innovations for Concert Band” for oboe

 

Clarinet

  1. A clarinet in good working order

  2. 4 or more Juno or Rico brand #2 ½ reeds for B flat clarinet

  3. Clarinet swab

  4. Tube of cork grease

Alto Saxophone

  1. An alto saxophone in good working order

  2.  4 or more Juno or Rico brand #2 ½ reeds for alto sax

  3. Saxophone swab

French Horn

  1. A French horn in good working order

  2. 1 bottle of valve oil

Trumpet 

  1. A trumpet in good working order

Trombone

  1. A trombone in good working order

Baritone 

  1. An instrument will be provided by the school if desired

Tuba

  1. An instrument will be provided by the school if desired

Electric Bass  (guitar is NOT offered)

  1. An electric bass in good working order

  2. A small practice amplifier

  3. ¼ inch cable

  4. A lesson book - “Sound Innovations for Concert Band” for electric bass

 

Percussion

  1. All students who choose percussion must have a Jr. Bell Kit complete with drum pad, sticks, and bell mallets. Percussionists at the elementary level must play xylophone and snare drum. Drum set is not offered until middle school. 

  2. A lesson book - “Sound Innovations for Concert Band”  combined percussion
