Automotive Service Technology classes give students the opportunity to study the technical knowledge and skills necessary to enter into the automotive service industry. Coursework is designed to be at least 50% hands-on. Students are exposed to real-world projects. Topics include: general information and maintenance, diesel and gasoline engine theory, engine performance and tune-up, emissions controls, fuel systems, electrical systems, drive train, suspension and steering, brakes, metal fabricating procedures and miscellaneous student interest.

The first  two years, Automotive Technology students have completely built a 1965 Shelby Cobra Replica.  2008 students wanted to restore a different vehicle, so a 1968 Camaro RS was the focal point for the school year.  In 2009, our vehicle was a 1969 Firebird TransAm tribute car.  For 2010 students decided to once again change things up.  The vehicle they chose is a '33 Hot Rod.  The finished car was raffled at the conclusion of the Syracuse Nationals in July.
For 2011, students chose a '55 Chevy Pick-up Truck as their project vehicle.

In 2011-2012, students built another Factory Five Racing Inc. Roadster MK IV.  This was our third Roadster from FFR. In 2013, students restored a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle classic muscle car.

All proceeds from the raffle directly benefit the students enrolled in the Automotive Technology course. The funds are used to purchase the next project vehicle.  Students take great pride in applying their knowledge and completing a project.  Thank-you for your continued support.
