ESM held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Pine Grove Middle School Capital Improvement/Renovation Project on Thursday, June 5 at the Pine Grove front entrance.
The groundbreaking included guest speakers and musical performances by Pine Grove students.
The “Greener, Greater Grove” plan includes renovation of approximately 118,000 square feet of the building with an addition of roughly 12,000 square feet. It includes specially designed Learning Zones and a Learning Commons as well as auditorium space. The $29.4 million project to renovate and make critical upgrades to Pine Grove Middle School was approved by voters on Dec. 19, 2012. Approximately 75 percent of the project cost will be supported through NY state building aid.
The New York State Education Department has officially approved the Pine Grove Greener Greater Project. The project is currently on schedule. Bids were due June 3 and will be awarded this month. Work is expected to begin immediately after school ends. The anticipated project completion date is spring 2016.« Click to view slideshow list
