ESM Donates Food to Local Pantries

Thousands of food items and monetary donations were collected during the annual ESM Central High School Food Drive for St. Matthew’s Food Pantry in East Syracuse and Heaven’s Pantry in Minoa. Each year ESM high school holds a food drive just prior to February break because many people already donate during the holidays and there is an increased need during the winter... more info

'Can You Win It in a Minute' Benefits Food Pantries Feb. 29

Can You Win It in a Minute? All 4 of the District's Elementary School PTOs are joining together Wednesday, Feb. 29 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the ESM High School Gymnasium to benefit local food pantries. Empty Bowls Sale March 15 Benefits Food Pantries

The ESM High School Art Department will host its fifth Empty Bowls event Thursday, March 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Central High School cafeteria to benefit food pantries in the ESM community. Attendees will receive a simple meal of homemade soup with bread, a beverage and dessert for a $1 minimum donation. Attend the 2nd Annual Gala to Benefit ESM Programs
News of Districtwide Interest
The East Syracuse Minoa Education Foundation will host its 2nd Annual Gala March 24 at the Doubletree Hotel from 6:30-11 p.m. Proceeds benefit the East Syracuse Minoa Education Foundation. The not-for-profit Foundation raises funds for ESM programs that are not otherwise funded by tax dollars. Entertainment includes Tom Reitano as well as the CXtec Dinosaurs. 3-Steps Forward Dance Marathon March 2

Peter Valenti’s Advance Clay students and Nancy Dafoe’s Creative Writing students collaborated on a cross curricular 21st Century project centered on the events of 9/11.
