The East Syracuse Minoa Education Foundation (ESMEF) raises funds and provides financial support for ESM School District programs that are not otherwise funded by tax dollars or state and local funds.
The ESM Education Foundation is a separate organization from the ESM Central School District. For more information or to become involved, e-mail the ESMEF at: firstname.lastname@example.org.

ESM Education Foundation History: A steering committee convened December 14, 2006. In June of 2007, an executive committee and committee chairs were elected. The organization filed articles of incorporation that August and received consent for non-profit status from the New York State Education Department in September 2007.
Work continued throughout 2008. The IRS issued a tax ID number to the organization in March and paperwork was then filed for non-profit status. In June of 2008, ESMEF received 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status, which, among other things, allows people to get tax deductions for their donations.
The ESMEF receives grant applications from ESM teachers during the school year. The Foundation Board awards grants and funds programs at its discretion. Grant awards are diverse and address all levels of students at ESM. Examples could include a summer reading program, special guest speakers, workforce readiness programs, parent workshops and pilot projects.
