                         The Brower Buzz...

Hi Woodland families, summer vacation is finally here.  I'm sure you all have lots of fun and exciting things planned for you're much needed vacation.  Some things to think about while your on vacation....practice your sight word cards, read, read and read some more.  Check out your local library for some really cool books.  You can read just about anywhere.  When your taking a break at the beach, riding in the car or before bed.  If your read for at least 15 minutes a night, you will maintain many of the reading skills you have aquired in school.  It will make the transition to the next grade smooth.
If your looking for something fun to do, you can also have mom or dad get you a blank journal at the dollar store and write about the things you do on a daily basis.  If you don't want to write about what your doing ,do what Jack, from the Mafic Tree House does, draw a picture and write one word to go with it.  Keep a journal of pictures.
Parents if you need any help in seeking extra educational support over the summer, feel free to contact me through the school website.

Have a great summer and I will continue to leave you with a variey of updates as we spend our vacation together.

If you need to contact me, feel free to call me at school or e-mail me...mail to: lbrower@esmschools.org
