Art 6 - Mr. Bachta

• Encourage students to be open and receptive to new ideas and concepts
  
• Expand students' awareness of what goes into the art-making process
  
• Start to develop art viewing skills along with a command of the vocabulary and language of art
  
• Help students to value experimentation and discovery without fear of right or wrong ways of working
  
• Discuss aesthetics and what makes quality in art
  
• Have students create art that explores a variety of subjects and themes
  
• Introduce students to a variety of tools and materials in which they can experiment and create with
  
• Use formal elements: line, shape, color, form, space, texture, value when making art
  
• Enhance projects by making an art history connection
  
• Help students value themselves and their work as well as the efforts of others
   

The Art Contract contains the supplies needed for my class and expectations I have of my students. Students and parents are asked to sign the bottom and return to me by the due date.
