Discovery Room

Welcome to the Discovery Room!

We are a half day inclusive preschool classroom serving the needs of all children through differentiated instruction.  The general education and special education teachers plan and co-teach the class with support from a teaching assistant, a speech therapist, an occupational therapist and a physical therapist.  We use the Scott-Foresman Preschool Reading Series, which focus' on expanding vocabulary, concepts about print, letter-sound awareness and other pre-reading/writing skills.  We follow the Park Hill Program Four Year Old Learning Plan (revised Summer 09) while meeting each child where they are developmentally so ensure they reach their highest potential.  For more information on Inclusive Classrooms and how it could benefit your child, please see the link below.
