Walk to School Day
On October 3rd, Minoa Elementary students took a walk at the beginning of the school day in celebration of "Walk to School Day." The students and staff walked down Helfer Lane to Cheryl Lane and back to school again. For safety purposes, the Minoa Department of Public Works and the Manlius Police Department closed off traffic to the road while the students were walking. Students made colorful posters and carried them along. Below are a few pictures that were taken along the way. After the walk television personality, Maureen Green, spoke with the entire student body about the importance of developing lifelong, healthful habits.
