Bruce Coville's Author Visit

Bruce Coville's Author Visit

Bruce Coville visited our school on the
10th of April and he explained to us how it is important to read and to put good thoughts in our minds. He told us that GIGO stands for Garbage In Garbage Out which means if we put garbage in our minds when we need a good idea only garbage comes out of our mind. He said that he prefers the term GSIGSO which stands for Good Stuff In Good Stuff Out.

Bruce Coville taught us things that, hopefully, we shall never forget. Fourth grade especially won't forget how he taught us Bruce's Writing Tips:

  • Engage the senses.
  • Showing beats telling.
  • Characters count ( inside and outside ).

We will never forget him or our experience with him!
