Grading
Students are graded daily in three specific areas:
- responsibility (homework and dress)
- cooperation with peers and teacher
- class participation (fitness levels, skill and effort)
Students will be evaluated for each of these activities using a RUBRIC ASSESSMENT
- Rubric defined - an assessment tool that describes levels of student achievement on performance tasks.
Criteria for Evaluating Particitation
| 5 = (E) = excellent | 5 Excellent. Student is dressed appropriately to participate safely and successfully in physical activity and has their homework completed when reporting to class. |
| 4 = (G) = good | 4 Good. Student is dressed in two of the three aforementioned clothing items and participates safely and successfully in class. |
| 3 = (S) = satisfactory | 3 Satisfactory. Student is dressed in one of the three aforementioned clothing items and is limited in their ability to safely and successfully participate in class. |
| 2 = (I) = improving | 2 Improving. Student is dressed inappropriately for class and unable to safely participate in class but stays in the classroom (to learn). |
| 1 = (U) = unsatisfactory | 1 Unsatisfactory. Student is disruptive and mustbe removed from class. |
