Welcome to the East Syracuse-Minoa Central High School English Department! Our department is comprised of thirteen dynamic and diverse teachers who bring tremendous knowledge, skills, creativity and a passion for learning  to their classes every day. The primary goal of our department is to foster critical reading, writing, thinking, and communication skills in each student.

The New York State Standards for English Language Arts frame each teacher's lesson and unit plans.  Teachers creatively select readings and design activities that enable students to be successful on the ELA Regents, and also become life-long learners, readers, and effective communicators. To learn more about these standards, simply click on the following links:
