Drama Club

DRAMA CLUB

The Drama Club is an active club for any student with an interest in performance or technical theatre.  Each year the Drama Club presents a mainstage production that gives the students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of theatre including: acting, directing, improvisation, set design, costuming, make-up, lighting and sound production. Past productions include Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and Inherit the Wind.

The students are also involved  in various theatrical activities throughout the year. These activities include: ESM High School HalloweenSpooktacular, EXPO, the New York State Theatre Education Association Student Conference, and the annual Installation of Officers dinner. 

The Drama Club also sponsors a one-day trip to New York City for a Broadway show.  This year's trip is June 17, 2006 and the participants will be seeing The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest running musical.

The Drama Club isa a supporter of educational theatre and the New York State Arts Standards in Theatre.

 ESM MUSICAL THEATRE  will be presenting  GREASE  on February 9 & 10, 2007.  Auditions to be held in December 2006.
