East Syracuse Minoa High School Athletic Hall of Fame
Mission
The East Syracuse Minoa Athletic Hall of Fame was chartered in the spring of the year 2006. Its purpose is to recognize the accomplishments of the inductees and develop pride in the rich athletic traditions. These role models exemplify East Syracuse Minoa's commitment to academics, community, and athletic excellence.
Six honorees are in the first class that was inducted into the East Syracuse-Minoa Athletic Hall of Fame on January 20, 2007. The East Syracuse-Minoa Athletic Hall of Fame Committee hosted the day's events.
The honorees are: Larry Costello, Minoa High School class of 1949 for football, basketball and baseball; Jack Griffin, football coach and long-time athletic director; Greg French, class of 1978 for lacrosse; Kari Bertrand, class of 1988 for indoor track; Jennifer Hughes, class of 1993 for soccer and Tim Engelhardt, class of 1995 for cross country.
Each inductee's picture and plaque of accomplishments was hung in the Hall of Fame, located in the new gymnasium lobby as seen in the photo below:
