Food Services Department Update

On Sunday February 17, 2008, the USDA issued a recall for beef provided by Hallmark/Westland Meat Company. The East Syracuse-Minoa Central School District does not have any of this meat in our schools.

The East Syracuse-Minoa Central School District is in USDA "Area L" and receives USDA Commodities for its meal programs from Area L warehouse in Auburn, New York. The USDA beef that has been recalled was sent to areas C and G.

As a precaution, the ESM Food Services Department has checked our inventory of USDA ground beef and none of our meat is from the affected lot numbers for this product.
