Parents Can Pay Online for School Lunches
Thursday, November 29, 2007
What: ESM is partnering with an online prepayment service for lunch accounts called mylunchmoney.com starting December 1.
The service will allow parents/guardians to prepay for their children's lunches with credit cards and debit cards for a minimal transaction fee.
Information further explaining the program will also be distributed to parents. The service is easy-to-use, convenient, private, and secure. Parents simply go to the www.myLunchMoney.com website to enroll and to start using the site to deposit funds into their child's account.
Once an account is established, parents can check balances and monitor their child's food purchases. The system also can notify parents when their children's balances get low. Funds can be added to the account anytime from a home computer, phone or fax.
Participation is voluntary and there is no charge for enrollment or viewing details, however parents will pay a small convenience fee of $1.95 for the service each time money is added to the account using a credit or debit card. Students can still bring a check or cash to school, which will not result in any additional charge. The online method allows parents the convenience of making a deposit from their home computer.
MyLunchMoney.com protects personal and payment card information with the most advanced Internet security. For more information about how to use this new service, call 800-479-3531 or visit www.myLunchMoney.com.
